In addition, the coach and mentor should attend to the trainee develop their skills. They also should know what does the client require or what they want? As the book of Coaching and Mentoring at Work Developing Effective Practice states, the client may want or need to improve their work performance in the all of a sudden term, or they may be concerned with broader issues of personal, professional and career development (Connor & Pokora, 2007, p7). From my perspective, coaching and mentoring will help us to handle new business challenges.Based on my own experience I cipher active listening still persists in the work. Fortunately some people puzzle good skills to consider the problem however those people are usually doing something wrong, why? Based on what I have learned in this course a good example would be that they usually are act to solve the problem, which is not acceptable for coach.Based on our discussions about coaching and mentoring I found that the coach is a partner in decision making process as well as an educator who provides valuable inputs to the client.
